When Entering a Public Place that you have been to before (restaurant, bar, theatre), do you search out a fav area?

It depends on the type of place. The restaurants I go to are the type where we are brought to our table by the waiter, so it is up to them until I get my own personal table.

Under normal circumstances I do not go to the same place. If I was going somewhere I think it would be more interesting to see it from a different point of view than the same one every time.

sometimes, i have an area that i naturally gravitate towards. this does not make it a favourite area. just an area that i frequent more than most and it usually occurs by default.

at other places, like restaurants or whatever, if i go there often enough, i know which are the best seats in the house and i like to sit there so that is favouritism according to the environment, not just me picking a random spot and saying 'OK now, i've decided this is going to be my favourite spot next time i'm here'.

i like to get to know things completely so i like to experiment before i settle.

i agree with SF on the 'environmental' sources
for choosing a seat or whatever.

this may seem somewhat personal to divulge...
but since i already see myself as existing outside
of the plane of (what is considered) reality,
i prefer to view the world from that place.

that is, when i am in public, i prefer to be
the observer, in most all cases.
i prefer to sit where i have the greatest access
to multiple, various events and experiences...
such as near a large window, facing the
entrance, or sitting in the corner --enabling
me to view the entire scene laid out before me.

people and events humor me.
i expect to receive the largest amount of
entertainment for whatever price i am paying at
the moment.

at parties and social functions, if it's a quiet, intimate gathering and everyone knows each other, i'd be inclined to walk around and be a 'social butterfly'. if it's a large party, i find myself a nice cosy corner to sit in so i can survey the room and see exactly what is going on. if people then come and talk to me, i talk back. but i usually do not make the effort to leave my spot because i quite like to be unnoticed but fiercely observant. i suppose that's why i don't want any headstones or plaques or anything for when i am gone... maybe a tree would be nice.

TG... i sit in the front of the class because
i usually despise the type(s) of individuals
i have to share my class with... the morons.
i prefer not to even acknowledge anyone else
is in the room, other than the prof.
if i sat in the back or middle of the class,
i'd have no control over observing, even by
chance, the complete tom-foolery and other
various shenanegans monkeys play whist at
typewriters.

it serves us all that way.

good line.
i completely understand the profit gained.

though i would prefer to be cremated, i'd like
to have a rather large and obscure piece
representing (though not touting) my death...
also in some obscure place... like on a hill
or clearing in the middle of nowhere...

here's what i had in mind: CLICK ME!
detail of pic: CLICK ME!

and lo and behold... if i ever had a significant
other... he'd of course be done the same way.
and have the mate:
CLICK ME!

and it wouldn't matter if anyone had them moved
or whatever... because it would all be apart of
my perfect plan..... >=Z

btw... those suckers are waaaaaaaay cheaper
that the traditional headstones... can you
believe that?!?!?!
